photo
When we were going over our photos in class i was scared when my photo came up. I didn't that my photo had anything great about it. I thought that it was boring and plan but I guess it wasn't. When the girls stared to talk about the photo I was like yeah I guess that what my plan was when it wasn't really. I was just taking the picture because I couldn't find anything else to take and then the picture actually worked and looks good. The big tree was in the center but I really didn't plan that. It was pretty sweet how the trees around it were smaller and they were a different kind of tree then the huge one in the middle. That was sweet and I wasn't even thinking about that when i took the picture. I like how behind the huge tree there a tracks it kinda makes you think what is beyond the frame and how they got there and why? When you look at a picture there are many questions you can ask but you will never know the right answer. If you put someone in the picture it would take away from the huge tree, which is the main focus but it would make the viewer have a different feeling about the photo. When people were saying things about the photo I was scared but then I was excited when I heard all the good things about my photo, it was nice to hear those things when you didn't even plan on doing that. You can also tell that my photo is diffuse and you don't have a hard time telling that. I took this photo inside on the third floor though a window and you can't even tell that's how nice the photo came out. You probalay thought that I took this photo outside but I didn't. I love the title of the photo on flickr, the title goes perfect with the photo. I really like this photo and I think that I did a good job on it too.

Technical or Emotive?
when i look at a photo i think of many things. the first thing i think of is why this object, that is the purpose, why this lighting, why this way and then i have my own feeling why the person took this photo. so when i look at something i think of emotive before technical. the reason i think of emotive first is because i want to know why they took this photo and my own feelings about it and then i think about technical, all the things that a photographer should know and the reasons they took it this way. the reason i t do this is becasue i think that it is more important to know the meaning then the way they took the photo.

"Rivers and Tides"
1.The appeal with working with all natural materials in your artwork is that you might seem like you are an environmentalist because you are using natural materials and not crappy ones. An advantage would be that you are helping that Earth. An disadvantage would be that it might be harder to fine the all natural materials.
2. I think that the point of working with art that as disappearing elements is to have the person who is looking at the at work to try and figure out what is going on with the piece and have their own idea of the artwork.
6. I think that something that is not place into that position makes the artwork because it looks natural and really cool the way it is found. Yes, Mr. Goldsworthy's work is art because he has his own spin to his work.
